We decided to go to Meili Snow Mountain, and many people didn't recommend Yulong Snow Mountain, so we drove directly to Shangri La.

The distance from Lijiang to Hutiaoxia is about 80km. The road condition is very good (Note: the speed limit is 60km / h in most sections). If you drive normally, you can get there in 1.5 hours. When the car drove to the Jinsha River, the green water attracted our attention. The gorge is located in the upper reaches of Jinsha River, with a total length of 16 kilometers. It is divided into three sections: upper Tiger Leaping, middle tiger leaping and lower tiger leaping. The nearest scenic spot to Hutiaoxia town is shanghutiao. Shanghutiao is the narrowest section of the gorge, 9 kilometers away from Hutiaoxia town on the side of the highway. In the middle of the river, there is a huge stone, lying across the middle stream, like a waterfall and a steep ridge, which divides the torrent into two and makes the waves shake the sky. It is said that a tiger once jumped from the side of Yulong Snow Mountain to Haba snow mountain by taking advantage of the huge stone in the middle of the river. Tips: most people have altitude sickness in 4300 meters above sea level. Although I have jumped many times, I still feel faster than usual. High reaction may lag behind, so it is not recommended to carry out fierce sports or shout in plateau areas to avoid high reaction due to insufficient oxygen supply.

Meili Snow Mountain, the main peak of Kawagebo, 6740 meters above sea level, is a beautiful snow peak in Hengduan Mountain system. Lancang River and Nujiang river flow from the foot of the mountain on both sides. The warm and humid air along the river valley meets with the cold air, which often makes it cloudy and unpredictable. Meili Snow Mountain is a holy mountain in the hearts of Tibetans. It is still a "virgin peak" to this day. However, no professional mountaineering team has succeeded in climbing Kawagebo. In 1991, the Sino Japanese joint mountaineering team launched an impact on the main peak. They started from camp 3 to rush to the top. When they rose to 6400 meters above sea level, the weather suddenly became bad, so they had to withdraw and prepare to continue to rush to the top the next day. However, that night, when the team members had the last voice contact with the base camp, they encountered a large-scale avalanche, and all the team members were killed, sleeping in kawagbo. A few years later, some of the remains were found on a large iceboard on the other side of the main peak by Tibetan herders. Human attempts to conquer the God of snow mountain once again ended in complete failure. From then on, we can understand the Tibetan compatriots' more sincere and profound understanding of the relationship between man and nature: man can live in harmony with nature only by respecting and loving nature; If man is the enemy of nature and only wants to conquer nature, he will end up in extinction. Although Kawagebo and its surrounding peaks are called "Thirteen peaks", the meaning is to take the auspicious number of "thirteen" in Tibetan. In fact, it is not the exact thirteen snow peaks, but the general name of many peaks. Among the more famous peaks are mianzim, jivaren'an, bujisongji Wuxue, mabingzhawangdui, houguilaka and shuozan guimianbufeng. Among them, mianzim peak, which means the goddess of the sea, is located in the south of Kawagebo peak. According to legend, this peak is the wife of Kawagebo. Kawagebo went with King Gesar to the hellohai kingdom. The hellohai Kingdom tried to deceive them and betrothed mianzim to Kawagebo. Unexpectedly, Kawagebo and mianzim fell in love with each other and never separated. It is also said that mianzimu is the daughter of Yulong Snow Mountain. Although she is the wife of kawagbo, she is yearning for her hometown and facing it. There are always clouds around the snow peak, people call it mianzimu's shameful veil. Jivaren'an peak, which means "the crown of five Buddhas", is five flat and sharp peaks in parallel. It is located on the north side of mianzim peak, with an altitude of 5770.5 meters. The bujisong jiewuxue peak, which is said to be the son of Kawagebo and mianzimu, is located between the wufoguan peak and Kawagebo peak. The patron saint in the northeast of kawagbo refers to zalawangdui peak, also known as the "invincible God of war" (general peak). Coagulaka, which means the peak above the round lake, is located above the iceberg of the scqia glacier.
